iAccend Initiative CIC is a Community Interest Company that exists to strengthen communities by creating opportunities for people—particularly women and underserved groupsto connect, participate, learn, lead and thrive.

What does iAccend Initiative CIC do?

We deliver inclusive programmes and activities including mentorship, skills development, community engagement, leadership development, wellbeing, networking and social impact activities.

Who does iAccend support?

Our work creates opportunities for people from different backgrounds, with a particular focus on women, underserved groups and underrepresented communities.

What is BIWIB?

BIWIB stands for Black and Interracial Women in Bradford. It forms part of iAccend’s work to create opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds to connect, learn and build meaningful relationships across communities.

What activities does iAccend provide?

Activities may include training workshops and seminars, mentorship and peer support, community coffee hangouts and networking events, wellbeing activities, cultural and intergenerational events, leadership and skills development, community outreach, digital learning, volunteering and community participation opportunities.

Does iAccend offer Project Management workshops?

Yes. Project Management workshops are identified within iAccend’s programme activity and support its wider commitment to learning, skills development, confidence and community connection.

How does iAccend support women’s empowerment?

Women’s empowerment is central to our work, with a focus on building skills, confidence, leadership, networks and opportunities for women to thrive.

Is accessibility considered at iAccend activities?

Yes. iAccend Initiative CIC aims to create inclusive and accessible experiences. Where reasonably practicable, adjustments may be made to support participation and remove barriers to access. This can include considering accessibility requirements when planning activities, alternative information formats, participant support and accessible venues.
